We are your specialists for making Roman shades, buying Roman shade hardware and learning how to make Roman shades, whether Classic flat shades or top down bottom up shades.

Galleries
Terrell Sundermann is a fabric artist who listens to her practical side. Or perhaps, Terrell justifies making beautiful items by turning them into functional window treatments! Formally trained as an experimental physicist, yet naturally gifted as an artist, Terrell truly loves the combination of art and function of her pieced Roman shades. You can view her work here, which spans a career (so far) of over 15 years.

The shades are grouped by complexity. Some, in fact, are not at all complex. So even if you are not a "quilter", you should view the galleries. Making a Roman shade is as simple as making a pillowcase. Turning that shade into fabric art can be as simple as sewing together squares and rectangles.

Quilt Block Designs
This is where it all began in 1990. Terrell decided to combine a quilt pattern with a Roman shade. If you are a quilter, you HAVE to see these galleries. They are grouped by quilt pattern:

            Log Cabin
                       Diamonds & Stars                  Miscellaneous

Several watercolor techniques are employed. View this Gallery to see Terrell's shades that recreate a "soft" view out the window.

PhotoView Designs ----->
Terrell's PhotoView technique allows her to reproduce a scene from a photograph and turn it into a Roman shade or wall hanging.
