Colored Lift Cord Detail
[Item LCC]
Very durable 100% polyester cord resists sunlight and is braided to minimize stretch
and reduce friction. Available in 1.4 mm diameter only. You may request
a sample of this item. The photograph below shows the three colored
cords along with the two colors of lift rings and the standard white
lift cord.

From top to bottom:
Brown, Tan, Alabaster, Lift Rings (white and beige), White.
Your
lift cord (and lift rings) should match your LINING fabric as closely as
possible. If you are using white lining, order the standard white lift
cord. If you are using off-white lining, order the Alabaster cord.

lift cords. |
The Tensile Strength
of this cord is 90 lbs. That means that one cord can hold 90 lbs of
weight. Remember that you will always
have at least two cords. This cord is STRONG! You never have to worry
about it breaking.
If
you order 100 yards or less, you get the quantity of cord that you order
in ONE PIECE. In other words, if you order 57.5 yards of lift cord, you
will get one length that is 57.5 yards long. If you order more than 100
yards, you will get a 100-yard roll and another separate length for the
quantity over 100 yards. Let's say you order 137 yards of cord. You will
receive a 100-yard roll and another 37-yard piece. I generally throw in
a few extra yards to allow for the fact that you have two pieces. A
comment on those 100-yard rolls. Occasionally there is a splice within
the roll. I don't unroll
the cord to check for splices, but simply throw them in the box. The Hardware Calculator
gives you yardage that is pretty accurate without a
lot of slack. You may want to add 2-3 yards extra onto that amount
rather than run out.
